Arborescent_03 Site specific:

Arborescent_02 is another collaboration between programmer and interaction designer Joey Scully (dm.ncl.ac.uk/joescully/) and music and art producer Ed Carter (winternorthatlantic.com and modular.org.uk).

This project creates site-specific compositions, using the topography of the surrounding landscape as an instrument. Contour maps are digitally mapped into 3D space, and then converted into an audio output, with changes in elevation altering the pitch of the tones created.

The image above is the festival site for Green Man, where the project will be premiered in a performance by Winter North Atlantic.
